He was in Oman while this all happened. It was around 2 pm or so when his publicist confirmed. It is disheartened to see such a loss at such a young age.

The DJ and producer retired from performing live in 2016.However, he continued to sing songs in studios.

He was better known for his work in songs like "Levels", "Hey Brother", Wake Me Up", "Waiting For Love","My Feeling For You". The Swedish Star track  "Levels"  hit No. 1 in his native country and on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Songs chart -- and earned him a Grammy nomination. He was twice nominated for Grammy's. First for  "Levels" and then for His 2012 David Guetta collaboration track "Sunshine"  and that too in the same year.

His collaboration with Aloe Blacc in the track "Wake Me Up" topped the charts in multiple countries across the world and was No. 1 for a record 14 weeks on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Songs chart; it was also the U.K.’s fastest-selling single of 2013.

His proper debut album, “True,” was released in September 2013, and it leads him to such a great rise.

He was the main stage performer of "Tomorrowland" in 2012.

There was a reason why he took the name Avicii and he explained that the name Avicii means "the lowest level of Buddhist hell” (Avīci) and he chose the moniker because his real name was already used upon creating his MySpace page.

After quitting live performing he said:
